About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for an Interventional Cardiologist at Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville, VA. The role involves providing inpatient clinical services and on-call coverage. The coverage period is from November 21, 2026, to November 27, 2026. The physician will be responsible for performing interventional cardiology procedures, managing inpatient admissions, rounding, and responding to emergencies, including STEMI activations. Collaboration with the existing cardiology group and utilization of the EPIC EMR system are key aspects of this role.
Requirements
- Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
- Active VA state license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Minimum 50 interventional case logs in past 12 months
- Clean malpractice history
- Self-Query NPDB report
- Availability for listed dates
Responsibilities
- Provide interventional cardiology services including PCI, angiograms, and atherectomy.
- Manage inpatient admissions and rounding responsibilities.
- Respond to on-call emergencies including STEMI activations.
- Collaborate with existing cardiology group at Memorial Regional Medical Center.
- Utilize EPIC for all documentation and patient records.
