About The Position
Apex Academy, located in Cleveland, OH, is seeking an Intervention Specialist to provide specially designed instruction to K-8 students. The academy, opened in 2004, serves over 475 students and focuses on connecting passion with purpose. Apex Academy offers a supportive environment with experienced leadership, outperforming local districts on state tests, and a high level of support for all staff. They provide a safe learning environment with advanced camera systems, high parent involvement, and dedicated behavioral support for both teachers and students through the ABSS program. A Dean support model is also in place.
Requirements
- Hold a valid teacher license or meet alternative requirements. NHA will support you through your alternative certification journey.
Responsibilities
- Provide specially designed instruction developed to meet the unique needs of each child resulting from his/her disability, such as: a resource room, inclusion, and/or pullout services.
- Participate in professional development that is specific to special education curriculum, along with data tracking tools.
