The Intervention Specialist provides behavioral modification support to the classroom. This position will create and implement Positive Behavior Support Plans, engage in data collection, progress reporting, and provide classroom behavior modification techniques. Work one-on-one or with group in school setting. Able to pass and implement safety care training, as needed, including recognizing antecedent behavior, utilizing de-escalation techniques, applying physical techniques when warranted for the safety of the student and others in proximity, and properly documenting all interventions. Verbal processing of events and other therapeutic services as needed. Follow Clinical guidance from certified clinician. Co-facilitate group session with certified clinician. Facilitate group session independently when certified clinician is not available. May perform other related duties, when required or assigned.
