This position prioritizes CPS teachers. The Intervention Specialist provides an educational program for students as defined in the student's Individualized Education Program (I.E.P.). The role involves participating as a collaborative team member in intervention planning, multifactored evaluations, and reevaluations for students within required timelines. It also includes coordinating the development and continuous monitoring of Individual Educational Plans for students with disabilities to ensure appropriate services and supplemental aides and supports are provided in the least restrictive environment within required timelines consistent with The Ohio Operating Standards for the Education of Children with Disabilities. The specialist will implement educational interventions and specially designed instruction, adapting content, methodology, or delivery of instruction as appropriate to address unique student needs. Additionally, the role involves designing and implementing meaningful parent involvement activities where parents are equal partners. Other duties may be assigned by the Principal/Manager or their designee.
