About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Intervention Specialist / SPED Coordinator to join our team and support students with diverse learning needs for one of our school campus in Akron, OH. This role combines direct instructional responsibilities with program coordination to ensure compliance with special education requirements and the success of all learners.
Requirements
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License.
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience with IEP development and program coordination.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide direct instruction and interventions tailored to student needs.
- Coordinate special education services across grade levels.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
