Expertise in Radio Frequency (RF) communications, Wireless & Networks and open systems architectures to eliminate legacy bottlenecks and ensure operational resilience in contested and congested environments.

Requirements

  • Networking & Protocols: 5G / 6G architectures, LTE, Wi-Fi standardizations, and Software-Defined Radio (SDR) frameworks.
  • Security & Encryption: Cryptography, Transmission Security (TRANSEC) protocols, and IPsec implementations.
  • Bachelor’s degree or education in Electrical/Electronics specialist, Systems Analysts, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • 4 to 8 years of applied experience in RF systems, wireless network architecture, or tactical communications.
  • Proven ability to translate complex physical layer data into actionable network-layer integration strategies.
  • Dedication to advancing the technical capabilities and communication resilience of the warfighter.

Nice To Haves

  • TS/SCI preferred or ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • Waveform Analysis: Have knowledge and experience to conduct rigorous simulations and physical testing of signal propagation, complex modulation schemes, and transceiver performance to ensure reliability in highly contested Electronic Warfare (EW) environments.
  • Simulation & Testing: MATLAB, Simulink, OPNET, SystemVue, and various advanced network emulators.
  • Constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication.
  • Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be required.
  • Occasional lifting, up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Support Lines of Efforts and strategic mandates and next-generation tactical edge communications.
  • System-of-Systems Integration: Model, analyze, and optimize communication pathways across disparate, multi-domain RF networks (including satellite, cellular, and tactical radios), ensuring to provide information and/or knowledge to advise stakeholders and other communities of interests regarding seamless interoperability without the limitations of legacy bottlenecks.
  • Interoperability & Standards Compliance: Provide information and/or knowledge to include white papers and/or digital models to architect and design open, virtualized network environments, ensuring strict compliance with Mil-std and commercial standards and DoD C5I frameworks to guarantee cross-platform compatibility.
  • Security & Encryption Implementation: Have knowledge of security measures directly related to RF data links. This includes integrating cryptographic algorithms, robust anti-jamming mechanisms, and Low Probability of Intercept / Low Probability of Detection (LPI/LPD/LPx) features to secure tactical edge nodes.
