As an intern, you will join a highly collaborative R&D team developing and supporting analytical instruments that integrate acoustics, fluidics, electronics, automation, and software to deliver high‑confidence scientific insights. In this role, you will be exposed to: Instrumentation Design & Integration Working with senior system engineers to harden a new type of assay plate reader , taking it from bread board to an optically and mechanically more robust implementation. Designing and building a new instance of the system with an alternate optical scheme. Fluidics & System Integration Working with senior system engineers to test a new fluidics module intended for our next generation acoustic drop ejection system. Testing, Experiments & Data Analysis Collecting data from multiple measurement systems as dictated by the question of interest. Analyzing data using Python, MATLAB, and other data science tools. Documentation & Engineering Support Creating and maintaining engineering documentation including CAD revisions, test reports, and development notes. Presenting findings and recommendations to engineering teams and participate in design reviews.
