As a full-service electrical provider, we offer industry leading electrical transmission, commercial and industrial, and renewable energy services. Sturgeon Electric has two divisions, offering both powerline construction and commercial/industrial electrical construction, making it a full-service electrical provider. Essential Functions Project Engineer Role will be on site for active construction projects (Various C&I Projects) Manage document control responsibilities Assist with managing RFI’s, Submittals, and Cost Proposals, Material and Equipment Orders Facilitate and manage correspondence with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and company personnel to ensure project success. Assist managing various scopes of work such as power, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, communications, and lighting controls. Expected Deliverables Updated Logs – RFI’s, Submittal, Long Lead Equipment, etc. Assist with compiling weekly letter submitted to the General Contractor Prior to the end of their internship, the intern will create and present a self-reflection project detailing their gained industry knowledge, future career goals, as well as personal and professional growth. The presentation will be provided in PowerPoint and presented to their direct management team.

Requirements

  • College sophomore or above working towards a related undergraduate degree or be currently enrolled in or attending trade school. If you are a recent graduate, you must be within 1 year of your graduation date.
  • No experience required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare and give presentations.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to communicate with employees and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
