About The Position

Rise Recovery is seeking motivated and compassionate students for practicum and internship placements within our recovery-oriented programs serving youth, young adults, and families impacted by substance use and behavioral health challenges. Our internships provide meaningful, hands-on experience in a mission-driven nonprofit environment under qualified supervision. Placements are designed to support academic requirements while developing professional competencies in behavioral health and recovery services.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited academic or certification program requiring practicum hours
• In good academic standing
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
• Commitment to scheduled hours and supervision requirements
• Successful completion of any required screenings or documentation

Nice To Haves

• Graduate-level students pursuing degrees in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health fields
• Students pursuing certification as a Peer Support Specialist or related credential

Responsibilities

• Observing and co-facilitating group sessions
• Participating in intake and assessment processes
• Assisting with treatment planning and case coordination
• Completing clinical documentation under supervision
• Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings
• Providing supervised peer recovery support
• Assisting participants with goal setting and recovery planning
• Supporting engagement in recovery programming
• Facilitating recovery-oriented activities
• Participating in case staffing and peer supervision
