About The Position
The Cybersecurity Intern supports the Cybersecurity team in protecting the organization's information assets, systems, networks, and users. This role provides hands-on experience working with security operations, vulnerability management, identity protection, incident response, security awareness, and cybersecurity governance activities. The intern will work closely with cybersecurity professionals and IT teams to gain practical experience in enterprise security tools and processes while contributing to ongoing security initiatives. This position is ideal for a student pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in: Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a Related technical discipline.
- Basic understanding of Cybersecurity principles.
- Basic understanding of Networking fundamentals.
- Basic understanding of Operating systems (Windows preferred).
- Basic understanding of Identity and access management concepts.
- Basic understanding of Vulnerability management.
- Basic understanding of Security threats such as phishing, malware, and ransomware.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Interest in learning cybersecurity technologies and processes.
- Strong curiosity and desire to learn.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to handle sensitive information responsibly.
- Self-motivated and dependable.

Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring security alerts and dashboards.
- Help track and document cybersecurity incidents, investigations, and remediation activities.
- Support the review and triage of security notifications from monitoring platforms.
- Assist with maintaining operational security documentation and runbooks.
- Help collect and analyze vulnerability data from security tools.
- Assist in tracking remediation efforts and compliance metrics.
- Support cybersecurity reporting and dashboard preparation.
- Participate in reviewing patching and remediation status across systems.
- Support access review activities and periodic entitlement reviews.
- Assist with account lifecycle processes and security validation checks.
- Help document identity security processes and procedures.
- Support phishing awareness campaigns and cybersecurity communications.
- Assist with training completion tracking and reporting.
- Help create user-facing cybersecurity awareness materials.
- Assist with security policy and procedure updates.
- Support audit preparation and evidence collection activities.
- Help track security-related action items, risks, and remediation plans.
- Participate in cybersecurity and infrastructure projects.
- Assist with research and evaluation of security technologies and best practices.
- Support documentation, meeting notes, status tracking, and project coordination activities.
