About The Position
Clapsaddle Garber Associates (CGA) has 2 to 4 Internship positions open in 2027 within our Ackley, Des Moines, and Marshalltown offices. Internships are about gaining real world experiences. At CGA, you are treated like a full-time Team member. Our Internship Program is progressive. Your level of responsibility and experience increases each summer/semester you work for CGA. Former interns have praised CGA for providing constant engagement with new tasks and opportunities for knowledge improvement, a fun and exciting work environment with great energy, and a team that is always willing to teach and help.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Civil Engineering degree
- Basic knowledge of computerized office equipment and programs
- Strong communication skills; written, verbal and listening comprehension
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Must be able to work in the United States without any visa (VISA Sponsorship is NOT available)

Responsibilities
- Designing/drawing plan sets and basic engineering calculations
- Working with Surveyor Crews
- Field construction observation and materials testing
