The Division of Cooper General Internal Medicine is a large academic division with approximately 80 healthcare providers across sixteen clinical sites, offering adult primary care and physician services to sub-acute and nursing facilities. The division is involved in medical education for Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Cooper Health. Requirements

Medical Degree - MD or DO
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program
Board Certification in Internal Medicine (or Board Eligible for new graduates)
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Excellent communication abilities
Comfort caring for a diverse adult patient population
Interest in academic medicine and clinical education
Strong commitment to the mission: "To Serve, To Heal, To Educate."

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in adult primary care outpatient settings, including acute visits, annual wellness visits, and post-hospital discharge follow-up visits.
Deliver nursing home and sub-acute care, including new admissions and weekly/monthly follow-up visits.
Maintain flexibility to travel to multiple South Jersey clinic locations within the Division of Internal Medicine.
Be available to provide coverage at any affiliated nursing home service location.
Manage test results, patient messages, and medication refill requests for patients personally seen or for whom orders were placed.
Communicate all results clearly to the PCP, and address urgent or emergent results in a timely manner.
Respond to urgent coverage needs, including same-day requests and evening/night-before requests due to unexpected illness or urgent provider absence.
