Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience U.S. international taxation, preferably in a public accounting firm or a corporate tax department.
• Experience with tax planning, compliance, and audit support is essential.
• Proficiency in tax and ERP software (e.g., Onesource (preferred) and Oracle) and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. international tax compliance and calculations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively to identify tax-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and prioritize work effectively.
• High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and complying with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Tax Advisor (CTA), or Enrolled Agent (EA) are advantageous.
• Familiarity with transfer pricing and provision experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare U.S. international income tax compliance for foreign entities including forms such as 5471s, 8858s, 1118 and prepare various U.S. international tax calculations, including GILTI, BEAT, Sub F, Pillar 2 and foreign tax credits.
• Utilize tax software and technology tools (Onesource preferred) to streamline tax processes, improve accuracy, and enhance efficiency. Stay current with advancements in tax technology and recommend improvements to existing systems and procedures.
• Work closely with other members of the tax and finance teams, as well as external advisors, to ensure a coordinated approach to tax compliance and planning. Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates on tax matters and potential risks.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize federal and international tax liabilities and maximize tax benefits. This involves staying current with changes in tax laws, regulations, and rulings, and advising management on potential tax implications of business decisions.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of all tax-related activities, including tax returns, supporting schedules, work papers, and correspondence with tax authorities. Ensure that all required records are properly stored and easily accessible for audits and inquiries.
• Assist with federal and international tax audits and examinations, providing necessary documentation and explanations to tax authorities. Work with external auditors and legal advisors to resolve any issues or disputes that may arise during the audit process.
• Conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues, interpret tax laws and regulations, and provide technical guidance to management and other stakeholders. Stay informed of industry trends and best practices to ensure the organization remains compliant and competitive.
• Ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls and requirements. Maintaining compliance with internal control procedures related to tax processes.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to maintain and enhance expertise in federal corporate taxation. Mentor and train junior tax staff to build a strong and knowledgeable tax team.
