About The Position

As an International Tax Manager, you lead complex U.S. federal and cross-border tax compliance and advisory engagements for mid-sized clients. You are responsible for managing tax teams, reviewing intricate international tax filings, and advising leadership and clients on strategic tax matters. This role plays a key part in ensuring technical excellence, client satisfaction, and the continued growth of the firm’s tax practice.

Requirements

  • CPA required
  • 3–5 years of international and/or domestic tax experience in public accounting
  • Deep expertise in U.S. international tax regulations and reporting requirements
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and project management skills
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • High ethical standards and commitment to professional excellence

Nice To Haves

  • MST, JD, or LLM in Tax preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and review complex international tax filings, including Forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858, 8992, 8993, 1118, 1116, and 926
  • Oversee technical calculations related to Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, QBAI, E&P, and PTEP tracking
  • Review international components of consolidated U.S. tax returns
  • Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and filing deadlines
  • Prepare and review technical tax memos and research on complex tax issues
  • Support international tax aspects of M&A transactions and due diligence
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on federal and international tax matters
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and drive firm growth
  • Communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients and leadership
  • Lead and supervise tax professionals to ensure timely, accurate deliverables
  • Review workpapers, returns, and technical calculations
  • Mentor, coach, and develop junior team members
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and training initiatives
  • Collaborate with partners and leadership to identify risks and implement solutions
  • Manage engagement budgeting, billing, and collections
  • Contribute to business development and growth initiatives
  • Stay current on U.S. international tax laws and regulatory updates
