Reporting to the Manager, International Student Experience, the International Student Experience Advisor plays a pivotal role in providing settlement and engagement supports, and fostering a welcoming inclusive environment for international students. This position involves managing the NorQuest International Volunteer Program, Emerging Leader and Mentorship program, developing and delivering content for student orientation, coordinating workshops, organizing cultural and social activities, and leading student engagement initiatives. The Advisor also conducts one-on-one appointments to provide personalized guidance on transitions to living and studying in Canada, personal development, settlement supports, academic strategies, and cultural adaptation. Additionally, the Advisor collaborates with stakeholders to create settlement supports, such as housing resources, cultural integration activities, and informational sessions on topics like financial literacy and safety, ensuring a seamless transition for students into the larger community.
