About The Position

The Campus Affairs Commission (CAC) seeks to implement and support programming and advocacy avenues for undergraduate students in the Queen’s community. The CAC also aims to advocate within undergraduate international affairs sectors to improve programming and supports. The International Student Ambassador, under the International Affairs Deputy, is responsible for representing international students within the AMS. The International Affairs Volunteers will support initiatives, campaigns, and projects to enhance support, programming, and spaces for international students.

Responsibilities

  • Host events and projects with the International Affairs Manager to support community building among international students.
  • Support campaigns to advance advocacy efforts to the university regarding tuition, education, community building, and more for international students.
  • Attend all training sessions to become familiar with the commission and its operations.
  • Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and attentively.
  • Maintain timely communication with the international affairs director.
  • Respect and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Attend and fully participate in all in-person and virtual meetings.
  • Strive to foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere for all international students.
  • Always serve as a representative of the AMS and its mission statement.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the CAC and the International Affairs Director.
