As an International Senior Tax Associate, you will be directly responsible for supporting all aspects of the tax lifecycle, including compliance, provision, planning, and controversy. Primary job responsibilities will include: Seeking process improvement through efficiency or technology advancements in all areas of work Assisting with UHG’s quarterly international tax provision and effective tax rate projections, including coordination with non-US business lines Preparing US international tax compliance and reporting forms (including Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 1118, etc) Preparing responses to information requests from tax auditors Assisting with tracking of tax attributes, including outside basis and E&P pools Supporting planning initiatives and special projects on an as-needed basis Partnering with income tax teams beyond international to support other tax compliance and planning projects as needed You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or a JD
  • 1+ years of relevant experience, preferably with a Fortune 500 corporate tax or finance department or international CPA firm
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and cross-functional environment
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Attention to detail with solid organizational skills
  • Solid writing and quantitative skills
  • Openness to leveraging new technology to support process improvement, including automation and optimizing manual workflows
