About The Position

The International Regulatory Analyst will support regulatory and contractual compliance matters across Murphy’s international exploration portfolio, including Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco, Cameroon, Mauritania and other potential jurisdictions. The role will support government correspondence, regulatory filings, contract tracking, partner communications, engagement and approvals, external counsel interphase, and preparation of high-quality drafts, reports, presentations and internal summaries. The position is intended for a motivated professional who is proactive, detail-oriented, adaptable and eager to learn international upstream oil and gas compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, International Relations, Business, Economics, Energy Management or related field.
  • 3 or more years of experience in legal support, regulatory affairs, compliance, contracts, government relations, energy or consulting preferred.
  • Strong drafting, research and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Proactive, practical, adaptable and willing to go the extra mile.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • The individual is required to follow all applicable safety precautions.
  • The successful candidate must be able to complete all essential physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Support regulatory and contractual compliance across Murphy’s international exploration portfolio.
  • Track obligations, deadlines, filings, approvals, reports and government responses under host government and partner agreements.
  • Prepare draft letters, notices, reports, presentations and internal summaries.
  • Support permitting, applications for operational authorizations, and other related government submissions.
  • Assist with applicable local content requirements and legislation.
  • Support partner communications, operating committee materials, voting notices and other documentation under partner agreements.
  • Coordinate with internal functions including HSE, Finance, Supply Chain, Drilling on operational compliance matters.
  • Maintain organized trackers, files and records for each country and project.
