About The Position

Milwaukee Valve Company is looking for an International Purchasing Specialist to join our New Berlin, WI team in Department 650. Established in 1901, Milwaukee Valve manufactures valves for a variety of industries including Industrial, Commercial, Fire Protection, Marine and the dry bulk hauling industries. Our products have been installed on every U.S. Navy ship built for the last 50 years.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, availability, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Utilize SAP ERP system to prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitor order status & follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Keep system current with arrival dates.
  • Coordinate with Accounting, Logistics, and Receiving teams to manage payments, importation of goods, and transportation receipts.
  • Assist in tracking inventory levels consistent with current demand, trends, bookings, and impact orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier communications, and inventory levels.
  • Work with reports on purchasing activities & supplier performance.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, product classifications, customs requirements, and company policies.
  • Maintain shipment documentation as required for audit & compliance reviews.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance purchasing skills.
  • Provide backup for other team members as needed.
