International Business Development & Defense Cooperation Manager
About The Position
Saronic Technologies is seeking a motivated International Business Development & Defense Cooperation Manager to accelerate business growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong relationships, and expanding presence with US allies. This role requires leveraging policy experience to support and create international business development opportunities. The position is based in Washington, DC, and focuses on supporting Saronic’s growth with international customers. The ideal candidate is globally minded, policy-savvy, and skilled at navigating technology, defense, and international relations ecosystems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in international relations, political science, business, or a related field.
- 3 - 8 years of experience in international business development, defense cooperation, or government affairs.
- Strong understanding of defense policy, export controls (ITAR/EAR), and international regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience preparing policy briefs and executive-level materials.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with senior officials, foreign delegations, and industry partners.
- Must be a "U.S. Person" (U.S. citizen, legal permanent resident, or protected asylee/refugee) due to access to export-controlled information.

- Familiarity with maritime or autonomous systems sectors.
Responsibilities
- Support Saronic's business development priorities outside of the United States.
- Facilitate effective defense cooperation efforts in partnership with global business development teams.
- Track and analyze international policy developments related to autonomy, defense technology, and maritime innovation.
- Support efforts to shape regulatory and policy environments for autonomous surface vessel adoption, including export controls.
- Monitor international market dynamics for autonomous maritime systems, including competitive trends, procurement priorities, and defense cooperation initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of market entry strategies and execution plans for new international partners.
- Plan and host visiting international government delegations at Saronic sites.
- Manage logistics, briefing materials, and agendas for productive delegation engagements.
- Coordinate with Washington, DC-based interlocutors and embassy representatives to strengthen international relationships and advance business opportunities.
