About The Position

At Fiserv, a Senior Internal Auditor plays a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of our audit procedures within the highly regulated payments and card industry. This position is integral to Fiserv's success, ensuring compliance and operational excellence through thorough auditing of financial and information security processes.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry and/or public accounting firm (internal audit, internal controls, risk management, compliance management, accounting, or operations).
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Basic knowledge of Internal Audit or Exam Management, Internal Controls, Finance, Regulatory Compliance, or Risk Management.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of one or more of the following: Accounting and Finance Principles, Internal Controls, Risk Management or Regulatory Compliance regulations, standards, or frameworks such as FASB, COSO, FFIEC, NIST, or PCI.
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in auditing within a risk-based environment, utilizing audit processes, methods, and best practices, as well as documenting and reporting audit findings.
  • CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, or other applicable professional certifications, or a desire to pursue a certification.
  • Ability to work with and analyze large amounts of data effectively.
  • Previous experience in a larger audit environment handling various audit areas and complexities.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and internal controls within a regulated industry.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the entire audit lifecycle for each assigned audit, including planning, executing fieldwork, scheduling interviews, and conducting audit tests.
  • Apply the Internal Audit methodology and standards throughout the audit process.
  • Facilitate and lead internal and external status meetings.
  • Document test results and conclusions clearly and effectively.
  • Prepare draft issues for audit reports and provide coaching to Staff Auditors.
  • Identify risks and dependencies while ensuring quality and timely work products.
  • Contribute to the continuous professional development of the staff.
