About The Position
Lakefield Veterinary Group is seeking a Full-Time Internal Relief Veterinarian to join their Twin Cities Metro Area team. This role offers the variety of relief medicine with the stability and benefits of a full-time position. The veterinarian will work across multiple established hospitals in the 7-county Twin Cities Metro Area, providing flexibility in scheduling and mileage reimbursement. The position aims to make the veterinarian feel like part of the team, not just a temporary fill-in, fostering relationships with different veterinary teams and contributing experience and perspective.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
- Veterinary license in good standing
- Strong medical and surgical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with different hospital teams
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in different practice environments
- Willingness to travel between Lakefield hospitals throughout the Twin Cities Metro Area
Responsibilities
- Performing wellness, sick, and urgent care examinations
- Diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions
- Performing surgeries and dental procedures
- Developing and communicating treatment plans with clients
- Providing high-quality preventative and medical care
- Collaborating with DVMs, technicians, and support teams
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Educating clients about preventative care and long-term wellness
