About The Position

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking an Internal Medicine Primary Care Physician Assistant to join their growing division. This position is located at the Claude A. Lorde location in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. The practice consists of 4 Physicians, 3 APCs, 6 MAs, and 4 PSRs. The office hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, with call rotated among physicians and APCs. Patient visit durations vary, with new patients, wellness/preventative visits for those 45 and older, TOC, and medical clearances allocated 40 minutes, and wellness/preventative visits for those under 45, return patients, and acute visits allocated 20 minutes. Full-time employment is defined as 36 patient-facing hours. The internal medicine division is expanding, with over 20 practices and 100 clinicians. LVHN offers flexible Monday-Friday schedules, nurse triage for call, and an onsite/remote care team to support physicians with in-basket tasks. There are also opportunities for career development in teaching, research, and physician leadership.

Requirements

Valid License/Certification in Pennsylvania, or the ability to obtain one.
2 years of Primary Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide primary care services within the internal medicine division.
Manage patient visits with varying time allocations for different visit types.
Participate in a rotating call schedule.
Collaborate with physicians, APCs, MAs, and PSRs.
Utilize onsite and remote care team support for in-basket work.
Engage in career development opportunities in teaching, research, and physician leadership.
