Riverside Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Internal Medicine Physician to join our team at Riverside Hidenwood Internal and Primary Care Center in Newport News, Virginia. Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
  • A current, valid medical license to practice in the state of Virginia (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Providing patient care services as part of a collaborative healthcare team
  • Performing comprehensive history and physical assessments
  • Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic labs and tests
  • Developing and evaluating individualized treatment plans
  • Prescribing pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions
  • Coordinating specialty referrals and consultations
  • Recognizing and responding to emergent situations with life-saving interventions
  • Educating patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention
  • Advocating patients’ rights and diverse needs
  • Participating in clinic meetings and daily safety huddles
  • Engaging in continuing medical education and professional development
  • Demonstrating leadership, mentorship, and evidence-based practice
  • Maintaining regulatory compliance and documentation standards
