About The Position

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Internal Medicine Physician to join its team in McHenry, Illinois, in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. The physician will provide patient-centered care and manage a wide range of chronic diseases, complex conditions, and specialized care for adult patients. The role offers a clinic-based environment focused on high-quality care and strong patient relationships, with a supportive, collaborative team and an emphasis on work-life balance. The physician will join a team of eight Primary Care Physicians and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a flexible schedule. Call responsibilities are one week every six months. The practice includes standard primary care equipment, onsite lab services, support from an advanced practice provider, nurse, and medical assistant, and an Immediate Care Center. Hospital privileges are at NM Huntley, McHenry, and Woodstock Hospitals. The practice uses the EPIC electronic health system. The position is 40 hours per week (1.0 FTE), with a day shift. The listed annual salary range is $250,000 to $295,000. Benefits include a continuing medical education allowance, paid time off, a well-being fund, a 401(k), paid parental leave, malpractice insurance, and administrative support.
