About The Position

Posterity Group LLC is seeking Internal or Family Medicine Physicians to staff Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) for The Minneapolis VA Healthcare System. The physicians will provide comprehensive medical services at the Twin Ports VA CBOC in Superior, WI, and the Hibbing VA CBOC in Hibbing, MN. The clinics operate Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm CST, and are closed on Federal Holidays.

Requirements

• Current license in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the U.S. or the District of Columbia (D.C.).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABMI) or the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM).
• Graduated from an approved school and completed residency or fellowship acceptable to the Surgeon General.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• DEA Certification.
• National Practitioner Identifier (NPI).
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.

Responsibilities

• Admission, including history and physical examinations.
• Evaluation and treatment, including the ordering and interpretation of diagnostic studies, such as laboratory, diagnostic imaging, and electrocardiographic examinations, and the administration of medications normally considered part of the practice of hospital medicine.
• Discussion of end-of-life preferences/advanced care planning.
• Consultations with sub-specialists.
• Timely and proactive discharge planning.
• Coordination of care with primary care physician.
• Discharge including ensuring appropriate follow-up is arranged.
• Perioperative care.
