We are looking for a full-time Receptionist for our Internal Medicine team. Hours for this position will be 8:00AM - 4:30PM.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED - required.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of administrative duties in a healthcare or medical setting - preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides clerical and administrative support to the office.
  • Assists with answering phones in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Schedules patients.
  • Verifies insurance eligibility.
  • Files, prepares correspondence and charts.
  • Collects payments and enters patient billing and registration data.
  • Performs other clerical and administrative duties as assigned.
  • Provides excellent customer service to all patients, guests, and colleagues.
  • Performs a wide variety of clerical assignments with accuracy which may be confidential in nature.
  • Communicates information effectively, in a polite and courteous manner, to everyone.
  • Greets and directs patients in a warm and courteous manner while obtaining necessary patient information.
  • Orders and maintains office supplies and equipment in an efficient manner.
  • Schedules appointments and maintains the scheduling calendar with accurate and current data; confirms appointments for the provider, via a telephone call, at least one day in advance.
  • Maintains/supports established department policies and procedures, objectives, safety, and environmental plans.
  • Collects co-payment and payment from patients and creates charts for new patients.
  • Assures authorization for release of medical information utilizing the appropriate medical release form.
