Requirements

JD from an accredited law school and admission to the California Bar.
Minimum of 3–5 years of corporate legal experience, preferably with in-house counsel experience.
Strong knowledge of corporate law, contracts, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to provide strategic legal advice and manage complex matters independently

Bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance to the company’s executive leadership and business units.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents, including publishing, licensing, employment, vendor, and partnership agreements.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Manage and oversee corporate governance matters, including board and committee support, corporate filings, and internal governance documentation.
Collaborate with external counsel when necessary to support litigation, regulatory matters, or specialized legal projects.
Advise on risk management strategies and develop internal policies to minimize legal exposure.
Partner with HR and leadership on employment-related legal matters, policies, and best practices.
