About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team as a Medical Device Courier. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of medical devices to healthcare facilities, clinics, and patients. Your primary responsibility will be to transport medical devices, equipment, and supplies using various modes of transportation while adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols. This is an essential role that contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Foundation Medical’s Operation

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in logistics or healthcare-related fields are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a courier or in a similar role, preferably in the healthcare or medical device industry.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with local traffic regulations and a good sense of direction.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling medical devices and maintaining delivery records.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, while demonstrating professionalism and reliability.
  • Physical stamina and strength to handle and lift medical devices of varying sizes and weights.
  • Flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport medical devices, equipment, and supplies to designated locations, including healthcare facilities, clinics, and back to Foundation Medical’s office, while ensuring the integrity and security of the items being transported.
  • Efficiently plan and organize delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries, taking into consideration factors such as traffic conditions, distance, and delivery priorities.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of medical devices and supplies prior to delivery to verify their condition, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Follow established protocols and standard operating procedures for handling, loading, unloading, and securing medical devices to prevent damage or loss during transportation.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including detailed information on the items transported, delivery dates, times, and recipient signatures.
  • Communicate effectively with the operation’s team, healthcare professionals, and patients to coordinate deliveries, address any concerns or issues, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines governing the transportation of medical devices, including those related to patient confidentiality and privacy.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues or deficiencies to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the vehicle used for transportation, and ensure proper disposal of packaging materials and waste.
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
