About The Position

OpenAI is seeking an experienced internal communications leader to develop and execute the communication strategy for its Enterprise & Growth portfolio. This role involves working closely with executives to ensure employees understand business direction, decision-making rationale, and how their work contributes to the company's mission. The position requires a deep understanding of the supported teams, strong cross-functional relationships, and the ability to craft clear, compelling narratives. A key aspect of the role is communicating how OpenAI's technology reaches users and businesses, what is learned from their usage, and how leaders can navigate rapid growth and change. The ideal candidate will have sharp editorial instincts, creative ambition, and sound judgment for handling sensitive information. OpenAI operates in a unique, fast-moving environment where priorities can shift rapidly, requiring adaptability, initiative, and the ability to recommend paths forward with incomplete information. This role can be based in San Francisco or New York City, with a hybrid work model (3 days in office) and relocation assistance offered.
