About The Position

The Internal Collections Representative is responsible for contacting and managing the accounts of past residents who owe AMH a balance by negotiating repayment terms, setting up payment arrangements, disputing charges, ensuring payments are made in accordance with the signed agreement, and ensuring those signed agreements reach completion.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of Collections experience, preferably in a call center environment.
  • Experience with customer service software applications.
  • Intermediate PC and MS Office skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organization, time management, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Real Estate or Property Management industry preferred.
  • Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with previous tenants via outbound calls, inbound calls and/or emails regarding bast due balances.
  • Provide accurate and timely assistance and document activity in CRM database.
  • Support the department by performing administrative duties such as noting accounts, managing profiles, and updating records.
  • Support the team by attending meetings and participating in growth and development opportunities including coaching and attending training.
