As an Internal Audit Intern , you’ll gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment where every day offers the chance to learn something new. You’ll work alongside experienced audit professionals to evaluate risk, analyze data, and help strengthen the bank’s internal control environment. This opportunity is full-time and on-site in Salt Lake City.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other related field
• Demonstrated strong leadership ability
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of auditing assignments across Zions Bancorporation’s banking products and services.
• Work on a few selected projects, under the guidance and support of the audit team, to evaluate the risk and control environment in important business functions.
• Evaluate the control environment by analyzing data for anomalies using system tools, testing control procedures for effectiveness, documenting test work, and interacting with management to assess the control tone.
• Make recommendations for corrective actions and submit written conclusions to management.
