About The Position

Air Liquide Large Industries provides industrial gas and energy solutions vital to customer production. We operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S., supplying oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, and syngas to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining, and steel industries. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points 24/7 from our Houston, Texas center, optimizing our supply network for reliability and energy efficiency. This internship offers students an opportunity to learn about Air Liquide's corporate identity and culture, build relationships, and potentially be considered for the ALLEX program. Interns will provide engineering support for the daily management and efficient operation of an Air Liquide production facility, assist with large maintenance activities and plant process improvements, and become familiar with specific production technologies and the plant working environment.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical)
• Expected graduation between December 2026 or May 2028
• Minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
• Must be able to provide own daily transportation to/from work
• Must secure and finance own housing
• Must be open and flexible to relocate anywhere in the US during and post program
• Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to the daily management and efficient operation of an Air Liquide production facility.
• Assist plant management and/or engineering teams in the execution of large maintenance activities and/or plant process improvements.
• Become familiar with a specific production technology/process based on the location.
• Gain a general introduction to the plant working environment.
