About The Position

GMi is seeking driven and motivated students to join our paid Internship Program. This full-time, in-person internship provides hands-on experience in the commercial construction industry, offering exposure to field operations, estimating, and project management. This opportunity is designed for individuals who want real-world experience, meaningful responsibility, and the chance to build a strong foundation for a long-term career in construction.

Requirements

Current college student pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
Strong work ethic and willingness to work in both field and office environments.
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
Ability to communicate professionally and work within a team.
Interest in pursuing a long-term career in commercial construction.

Nice To Haves

Prior construction experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Gain hands-on field experience working alongside experienced construction professionals.
Assist with layout, framing, drywall, and other jobsite activities.
Support field leadership with material coordination, safety inspections, documentation, and quality control.
Assist Project Managers with budgeting, scheduling, submittals, and project documentation.
Participate in progress walks, reporting, and production planning.
Develop an understanding of construction documents, estimating processes, and budgeting tools.
Build relationships with field teams, office staff, vendors, and clients.
