Verdantas is seeking a driven Intern for Summer 2026 at our Marysville, CA location. We’re looking for a talented and inquisitive engineering intern who’s eager to apply their skills in a real-world setting and learn from experienced professionals. This internship offers hands-on exposure to engineering projects that make a tangible impact, along with mentorship from a collaborative team that values innovation and curiosity. Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in an engineering-related program for the Intern position
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team with all levels of personnel and management as well as ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MS Office is an asset
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of an Engineering-in-Training (EIT) or Land Surveyor-in-Training (LSIT) certificate is preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of surveying and/or civil engineering is preferred
  • Prior experience in materials testing is preferred, but not necessary. Prior to performing any certified testing, it will be necessary to complete training, review approved test methods, and be tested on performance and knowledge of procedures in a satisfactory manner

Responsibilities

  • Prepare preliminary and detailed drawings, designs, and plans for various civil engineering and surveying projects
  • Perform calculations, assessments, and inspections
  • Collect and prepare data for evaluation
  • Support preparation of final design plans, cost estimates, and special provisions
  • Provide support to engineering and surveying staff members as needed
  • Perform materials testing as needed based on test procedures previously trained in and proven proficient in
  • Train to become proficient in all test procedures performed by Verdantas
