Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate or graduate ABET-accredited engineering program
  • Ability to work full-time during Summer 2027

Nice To Haves

  • Passion for the aerospace industry and interest and enthusiasm for a career at Boeing
  • Academic excellence (GPA of 3.0 or higher)
  • Previous related internship or work experience and/or involvement with student or civic organizations
  • Majoring in one of the following: Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related engineering fields
  • The ability to relocate and work onsite

Responsibilities

  • Core Engineering & Research Technology. Boeing Commercial Core Engineering and Research & Technology teams develop and mature technologies, methods, materials, processes, and engineering capabilities used across aerospace programs. Interns may support manufacturing technology, knowledge-based engineering, materials and processes, composites, metals, chemical/finishes, and structural test activities. Work may include research, experimentation, data analysis, modeling, process development, laboratory testing, and technical documentation.
  • Potential internship assignments may include: Manufacturing technology and process development, Knowledge-based engineering, automation, and digital engineering methods, Metals, composites, chemical processes, coatings, and finishes, Structural test planning, instrumentation, test execution, and data analysis, Research studies, trade assessments, and technology maturation.
