About The Position

The Electrical Engineering Intern supports department initiatives by assisting with day‑to‑day activities, project work, and analysis related to the department’s objectives. The Intern will work alongside Delek professionals to assist with engineering small instrument and/or electrical projects, gaining insight into how the department contributes to overall business operations. The Intern will assist with planning the upcoming turnaround and investigatin equipment failurs and trips. While performing the duties of this job in the field, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, working at heights, and outside weather conditions. Physical activities include climbing, standing, crawling, confined space entry, and maneuvering through operating process units. While performing the duties of this position in the refinery, appropriate personal protective equipment will be worn as required. In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. No Licensure or Certification Required.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher with good academic standing
  • Availability to work 40 hours/per week during Summer Internship Program
  • Basic knowledge of Electrical Engineering
  • A self-starter with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to record and present data in a clear and concise manner
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid software application skills, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Good organizational & Strong interpersonal skills
  • Willingness and desire for continual learning and self-development
  • Maintain safe, clean, and orderly working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Ability to successfully work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team seeking to continuously improve electrical engineering performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
