About The Position

Canada Soccer’s Internship Program provides students and emerging professionals with the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience within a national sport organization. Interns work alongside experienced professionals, support key functions across the organization, and contribute to the growth and development of soccer in communities across Canada. These are full-time, paid internship positions designed to provide meaningful professional development and exposure to the sport industry. Interns may apply to one or more of the following roles: 1. Community Engagement Intern (Toronto or Ottawa) Canada Soccer is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join the Community & Sport Inclusion team. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to national initiatives that increase participation, improve access, and create a more inclusive soccer system across Canada. The successful candidate will support several key portfolios, including the Women & Girls Strategy, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Action Plan, Club+, and Soccer in Schools. A primary focus of the role will be collecting, organizing, and analyzing program data to help measure impact, identify trends, and inform future recommendations. 2. Design and Visual Communications Intern (Ottawa) Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, maintaining creative and design requirements for a wide range of projects across all departments, using central brands and visual themes to help Canada Soccer connect and engage with fans, partners, and key stakeholders. A Graphic Designer is responsible for working within the Canada Soccer brand guidelines but will also be expected to bring platform-appropriate creativity and personality to the work. This position plays a meaningful role in producing original branding and telling the Canada Soccer story, working towards the continued development of the Canada Soccer brand, and growth of the organization’s revenues and the growth of the game in Canada. 3. Accounting Intern (Ottawa) Support Canada Soccer’s finance and business operations. This role will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, bookkeeping for the Canada Soccer Foundation, and a range of administrative and financial projects. The role provides exposure to real world accounting processes while supporting the organization’s operational needs. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, willing to learn, and comfortable working with numbers in a team environment. Women and Girls Mentorship Stream Canada Soccer offers a dedicated Women’s Mentorship Stream designed to support and advance the participation and leadership of women in sport. Interns who self-identify as women may choose to participate in this optional program. This stream is optional and can be selected during the application process. Responsibilities

Collect, organize, and maintain program data from multiple initiatives.
Analyze participation, engagement, and impact data to identify trends and opportunities.
Prepare reports, dashboards, and summaries to support decision-making.
Assist with the coordination and administration of Community & Sport Inclusion programs.
Support research, resource development, and project implementation across the department.
Collaborate with internal staff and external stakeholders on various initiatives.
Assist with graphic design for Canada Soccer projects, including social media, marketing materials, presentations, and internal documents.
Create, maintain, and update visual content for CanadaSoccer.com, and support the organization and maintenance of the image/media archive.
Assist with real-time match coverage and behind-the-scenes content across social media platforms in collaboration with Digital Content, Communications, and Marketing.
Maintain and develop coverage and branding for flagship Canada Soccer competitions, including the Canadian Championship, National Championships, and Futsal Canadian Championship.
Tag, label, catalog, and help source images and visual assets for marketing, communications, and event needs.
Provide general support to the design and communications team as needed.
Assist with accounts payable processing, including verifying invoices and preparing payment batches.
Support accounts receivable tasks such as preparing invoices and following up on outstanding items.
Help perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
Provide bookkeeping support for the Canada Soccer Foundation.
Assist with event related financial tasks and documentation.
Participate in data entry, filing, and maintenance of financial schedules.
Support the Finance team in preparing documentation for audits or reviews (if applicable).
Contribute to various administrative and special projects as assigned.
Assist with improving processes and maintaining financial systems, including Business Central, QuickBooks Online and Excel-based tracking.
