About The Position

Legacy Planning (A division of Hub International Northeast) is seeking an Intern to join our team! The internship will provide an opportunity to work amongst leading financial advisors and gain valuable experience in advanced financial planning, investment management, insurance, and estate plan design. Learn how wealthy and successful families manage their affairs. Legacy is located within walking distance of campus and offers flexible hours to accommodate your class schedule.

Requirements

• Full-time WCU student studying in a business-related field who is looking to pursue a career in financial services
• Ability to work 18 hours/week while school is in session and 20 hours/week during summer and winter breaks
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 for consideration
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, Word & Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Prepare client review meeting deliverables and supporting documentation
• Coordinate and execute on team marketing efforts
• Support representative-based projects and initiatives
• Complete meeting follow-up actions in accordance with compliance standards in a timely manner
• Research industry-wide financial information and market trends to update advisors on trends affecting their clients
• Gain exposure to finance research and planning software including eMoney and Morningstar
