About The Position

Dominion Energy is seeking interns to join their Underground Electric Transmission Lines Engineering team. This role focuses on the design, development, and implementation of high voltage (69kV – 500kV) underground transmission lines. Interns will gain knowledge about how transmission lines affect the grid, components of underground transmission, design and construction methods, the workflow of transmission projects, and project management. The internship offers opportunities for software training, site visits to construction areas, and networking. The position is primarily office-based with a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking).

Must be pursuing a 4-year bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (Preferred fields include: Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering) from an ABET accredited Engineering program.
Must be a rising Junior or Senior with a graduation date of Fall 2028 or later.
Must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher.
