This role will develop, design, analyze and evaluate transmission facility additions/modifications by applying engineering theories, principles, and practices that contribute to safe, reliable, and cost-effective transmission line designs.

Requirements

• Self-motivator who has the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment, but is comfortable independently seeking knowledge and information
• Strong time management skills with the ability to independently plan and organize work assignments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program that is ABET accredited majoring in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Must have a GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Must have a graduation date of Fall 2028 or 2029.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AutoCAD is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed design for high voltage transmission line projects. This will include, but not limited to, building new lines, re-building and modifying existing facilities, fiber installations, and customer relocations.
• Provide field support for construction activities related to transmission line projects. This will include, but not limited to, construction site visits and project meetings.
• Interface with other departments or groups such as Project Management, Construction, Supply Chain, Permitting, Real Estate, Right of Way Administration, and Transmission O&M.
