About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Tax, Treasury & Risk Management (TTRM) Intern to join our Tax, Treasury & Risk Management Team located in Durham, NC with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. This 11-week paid internship is part of the 2027 Global Internship Program and offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects, gain real-world experience, and support Labcorp's mission to improve health and improve lives. Interns will work closely with the TTRM team, gaining exposure to tax, treasury, and risk management issues encountered by a Fortune 200 public company. The program includes enterprise-wide learning experiences, leadership exposure, an immersive intern event, senior leader speaker sessions, professional development opportunities, and dedicated mentoring.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a 4-year Bachelor’s degree program.
  • Working towards a degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Economics, or a related field.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to learn new software programs such as Alteryx and Microsoft Power Platform tools.
  • Ability to work on a variety of tasks both independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates initiative and willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Maintains professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct.
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision and meet deadlines.
  • Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (December 2027 through June 2029 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members across Tax, Treasury, and Risk Management (TTRM) on departmental projects and operational activities.
  • Participate in the development and testing of automation and technology solutions, including Alteryx, Power Automate, SharePoint, Microsoft Forms, and Power BI.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, enhance processes, and reduce manual effort through technology and automation.
  • Support Federal, State, and Sales & Use Tax teams with compliance, reporting, and special projects.
