About The Position

THE·TEAM operates at the epicenter of sports, music, entertainment and culture, serving talent, brands and properties on a global scale. THE·TEAM works with iconic sports and media figures across the world in every major sport, utilizing our extensive influence to maximize negotiations and create meaningful opportunities for our clients across teams, leagues, brands, content and live events. Headquartered in Los Angeles, THE·TEAM's presence spans 28 countries and more than 70 cities, including New York, London, Abu Dhabi, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Madrid, Mexico City, Toronto, Paris and Sydney. This position will be working in the Athlete Marketing division of the Athlete Management department at THE·TEAM. This group actively prospects paid opportunities/ partnerships for athletes that THE·TEAM represents. Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting the Senior Vice President and broader Athlete Marketing team in all aspects of the endorsement process—from initial research and prospecting to pitch preparation and deal analysis. This internship offers a unique chance to learn the strategies and business operations behind athlete endorsements from both the athlete and brand perspectives.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in a college/university and eligible to receive academic credit
  • Interest in sports, marketing, endorsements, and athlete representation
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Highly detail-oriented and professional demeanor

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably majoring in Sports Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Experience with cold calling, marketing, or sales is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support the SVP and staff of Talent Marketing on various athlete marketing initiatives
  • Conduct cold calls and outreach to potential brand partners
  • Build and maintain spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations for outreach and pitches
  • Research prospective clients, athletes, and brand categories
  • Track invoices and assist in administrative duties as needed
  • Participate in marketing strategy sessions and team calls
  • Maintain a professional attitude and demonstrate strong communication and initiative
