This role has been designated for a 100% on‑site work arrangement. Crestron Interns and Co‑Ops can expect to be challenged with meaningful projects and tasks alongside professionals and subject matter experts in the field. Interns are assigned a dedicated mentor who will be responsible for their development and acclimation to the company. Crestron also provides training and networking opportunities designed to deliver a comprehensive internship experience that enhances both technical and non‑technical skill sets and prepares students for future professional careers. Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Technology or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Computer Engineering required (current enrollment or degree in progress).
  • Must be commutable to and from the Orangeburg, NY area for the duration of the internship period.
  • Must have permanent, unrestricted work authorization in the United States now and in the future.
  • Demonstrated interest in engineering, testing, or technical development, through coursework, lab work, academic projects, or prior internships.
  • Foundational problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to follow structured troubleshooting processes under guidance.
  • Basic familiarity with test stands, lab environments, or test equipment through coursework or hands‑on learning; exposure to LabVIEW is a plus but not required.
  • Basic knowledge/understanding of electrical circuits is a plus
  • Introductory experience with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., C++, C#, Python, Java) through classes, labs, or personal projects.
  • Ability to perform occasional lifting of test fixtures up to 30 pounds, with assistance if needed.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team‑based environment and receive feedback from mentors and peers.
  • Must be responsible, self‑motivated, creative, have a solid work ethic and have a desire to produce a quality product
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, non‑verbal, written, and listening) and the ability to ask questions, document work, and share findings effectively.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills
  • Inquisitive individual with a desire to learn, possessing a long‑term desire to work in the electronics/PCBA manufacturing industry
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
  • Positive, personable, and able to work cohesively with others across various divisions

Nice To Haves

  • exposure to LabVIEW is a plus but not required.
  • Basic knowledge/understanding of electrical circuits is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development, maintenance, and execution of production test systems for Crestron product lines, including support for ICT, FVT/FFT, and system‑level testing under senior engineer guidance.
  • Support the creation, documentation, and execution of test plans, procedures, specifications, and basic test scripts, including data collection and results documentation.
  • Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by assisting with test execution, supervised troubleshooting, debugging, and analysis, and escalating findings as needed.
  • Learn and apply basic Design for Test (DFT) principles while gaining exposure to board‑ and system‑level test strategies and equipment.
  • Collaborate with test, design, and cross‑functional teams, contributing to technical discussions, reviews, and shared problem‑solving efforts.
  • Research and share insights on new test tools, methods, or technologies, assist with test documentation or training materials, follow all safety and security procedures, and complete assigned learning projects as directed.
  • Complete assigned projects and learning tasks as directed by the manager or mentor.
