Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? What You Will Do Support engineering related efforts to meet shop and supplier delivery requirements. Perform structural analysis of components using hand calculations and finite element methods, independently and with expert guidance. Work with multidiscipline teams to address various production improvement opportunities. Translate analysis findings into actionable recommendations and proposals for the Structures Team. What You Will Learn Perform structural analysis using both hand calculations and finite element analysis, building strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience working within cross-functional teams, learning how to integrate engineering perspectives into cohesive solutions. Interpret analysis results and translate them into actionable recommendations and proposals for structures teams. Ability to balance trade-offs across engineering disciplines to arrive at practical, well-rounded technical solutions. Skills in documenting technical work through formal reports and delivering clear, persuasive presentations to management and customers. Engineering Interns at Pratt & Whitney work on challenging, meaningful, and impactful projects across our business. Our intern program seeks to help you develop an understanding of the aerospace industry and learn about our company and its operations.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a degree program in Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0

Nice To Haves

  • Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience working in the Aerospace Industry within the design and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Unigraphics, Ansys, and classical methods of analysis with academic or project-based experience.
  • Experience conveying technical results and ideas through clear, persuasive written reports and oral presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results through academic assignments, team projects, or prior internships.
  • Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas.
  • Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience.

Responsibilities
