About The Position

This is your chance to dive into the world of social media within the beauty industry! As a Social Media Intern at Soko Glam, you’ll play an integral role in supporting our day-to-day content creation, community engagement, and campaign execution across key platforms like Instagram and TikTok. You’ll collaborate closely with the marketing team to bring our brand voice to life online, while gaining valuable hands-on experience in content planning, social storytelling, and trendspotting. This role is ideal for someone creative, organized, and social media-savvy who’s eager to build skills in digital marketing and brand communications. The spring internship program will run for approximately 12 weeks. This is a paid, part-time internship with an hourly rate of $17 and an anticipated time commitment of approximately 20 hours per week (Monday-Friday). Interns based in the NY metro area will have the opportunity to work out of the NYC Headquarters (hybrid role, up to 4x per week in-office dependent on school schedule).

Requirements

  • Able to work on-site at our Dumbo, Brooklyn office a few days per week
  • Strong written and visual communication skills
  • Deep familiarity with social platforms, especially TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Proficiency in social content creation and editing
  • Confident on camera with strong storytelling skils
  • Creative thinker with a pulse on digital culture and emerging trends
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple tasks
  • Proactive, collaborative, and excited to learn
  • Comfortable using tools like Capcut, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in K-beauty, skincare, and/or lifestyle brands is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Pitching, filming, and editing social content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Paid Ads, and other platforms
  • Promote current brand initiatives and promotional campaigns through engaging, on-brand social content that drives awareness and site traffic.
  • Monitor and engage with our social media community in a brand-aligned, timely, and thoughtful way
  • Pitch social trends and stay on the pulse of influencer content and competitive activity for weekly content ideation
  • Support content shoots and help organize visual assets
  • Track performance metrics and contribute to post-campaign reporting and insights
