Obtain an operational understanding of the Riverbend private club. Our Intern will train in all departmental functional positions such as front office, food and beverage, banquet operations, as well as events. The intent is to develop skills to a level where the intern may oversee a function independently when the appointment manager is not scheduled. Our Intern may learn financial aspects of the department based upon assignment. There will also be a focus on management skills in order to provide the intern a comprehensive understanding of how to successfully manage a team. Consideration for a six month internship available with completion of a four year hospitality degree. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Summary of Management and behavioral skills the intern will experience are as follows: Shadow and train in the following positions Butler Busser Dining Attendant Bartender Meeting & Events Member Services Scheduling Interviewing front line staff Leading daily communications Building member relations and problem solving Serving as Manager on Duty General guest service skills learned in the various roles they will train in Performance Management and performance evaluations Will learn to be proficient in Infogenesis, ResortSuite, Microsoft Office, Kohler Intranet, Workbrain, Workplace Ordering System, and Inventory Management based on assigned internship. Intern may be assigned a final project which will be a presentation for the Senior Leadership Team. The presentation will focus on key learning from their internship as well as reporting out on their assigned project, if applicable.
