This role is an onsite position in Austin, Texas, focused on quality metrology within the aerospace industry.

Requirements

Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field.
Must be actively enrolled through the completion of the internship.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems.

Nice To Haves

Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
Major or minor in Metallurgy or Materials Science.
Previous exposure to quality principles & tools.
Prior RTX internship, co-op or work experience.

Responsibilities

Assist with and perform volumetric metrology scanning using both computed tomography and structured light equipment.
Work with the onsite tooling design team to produce nesting fixtures for parts being scanned.
Review work instructions and standard work documents for clarity and completeness.
