About The Position

This internship in the Purchasing Department focuses on material planning, inventory balance, purchase requisition release, depletion monitoring, aged inventory reduction, and data analysis. The intern will be responsible for preparing raw material reserve planning, releasing and following up on material purchase requisitions, and arranging raw material arrival schedules according to production needs. Key tasks include monitoring inventory levels to maintain balance, ensuring raw material depletion follows First In First Out principles, and pushing for the consumption of aged raw materials. The role also involves reviewing sales orders to assess raw material availability, organizing engineering material changes, ensuring daily work complies with instructions and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and handling emergencies such as urgent procurements or disqualified batches. Other duties may be assigned, and management reserves the right to reassign responsibilities.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in college program with Major in supply chain
• Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft software
• Good sense of data, dedicate with data analysis, ability to multitask and prioritize
• Excellent planning ability
• Experience working with large data sets
• Understand procurement process, logistic concept
• Must be able to possess a high level of confidentiality
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

• Degree from accredited college
• 1 year experience with supply chain (inventory planning, scheduling & procurement)
• Knowledge of PLEX/ SAP/ Oracle MRP function

Responsibilities

• Preparing raw material reserve planning
• Releasing material purchase requisition (PR) and following up on PR execution
• Arranging raw material arriving schedule according to production schedule, monitor inventory level to keep turnover day balance
• Monitoring raw material depletion comply to First In First Out, push aged raw material consumption
• Reviewing sales order, process whether raw material can't meet demand
• Organizing engineering material changes (when necessary, such as supply-side changes)
• Ensuring daily work comply to work instruction, reach Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Handling emergencies, such as urgent procurement and disqualified batches, etc.
• Other duties as assigned
