About The Position

Hilltop Securities Inc. is seeking qualified students to join their Public Finance team as a Summer Intern. This role offers hands-on experience in the financial services industry, focusing on the development and delivery of initiatives and effective practices. Interns will gain exposure to a full-service trading desk, learning about various financial products such as corporate bonds, CDs, agencies, and treasuries. The Summer 2027 Internship Program is an in-person experience lasting from May 24, 2027, to July 30, 2027, with opportunities available in downtown Dallas and other branch locations nationwide. Responsibilities include analyzing and structuring deals, utilizing industry-specific software for financial analysis, and presenting proposals to clients, all while contributing to the advancement of communities.

Responsibilities

Assist with several key initiatives across the company.
Gain hands-on experience in the Public Finance profession.
Develop entry-level experience in the financial services industry.
Learn about products traded including corporate bonds, CD's, agencies, treasuries.
Analyze and structure deals for clients across all sectors.
Conduct extensive financial analysis using industry-specific software packages.
Present proposals and detailed presentations to clients.
Support public entities’ financing efforts across a variety of sectors such as toll roads, airports, hotels, higher education, health care, and more, in addition to public-private partnerships.
